Provo City Swing 10-03-18
I was asked by my friend Paul to photograph this event. He wanted to start his own Lindy Hop scene and wanted this to be a pretty regular thing. Great venue, great floor, great location, everything. While the event went amazing, it didn’t become a regular thing due to various circumstances. I had taken some photos for our college Lindy Hop club previously, but this was a different animal. I had gotten a flash recently and learning how to do flash photography with moving subjects was a challenge for any photographer, let alone a beginner. I look through these photos remembering how nervous I was, but many of these photos are still my favorites I have taken. Besides the dance that I love, there are many friends who are frozen in time looking incredible. Feel free to browse and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
