Stony Point Barn 05-10-24
This was a really awesome dance. The Lawrence Barn Dance Association holds a dance at Stony Point Barn twice a year, and this was my first time here. It’s a beautiful rustic barn and totally fits the contra dance vibe and the music played. We had a live band, The Lost Keys, and they were fantastic. My wife has taken several fiddle lessons with one of the members (Howard) and we all had a hoot dancing. As the dance went on into the night, the lack of light made the dancers a bit difficult to capture, but it worked out. One gentleman was kind enough to take some photos of me and my wife while we danced, which doesn’t happen quite often (i’m always behind the camera).
